"Do you Believe the Bible is True?"

We received a question for Redeeming Life: Q&A. “Does your church believe everything in the Bible?” It’s a good question. But the answer to this this question is not just a simple yes or no. It’s a complex question. What does a yes really mean? That depends on what question we’re really answering. There are many sub-layers undergirding this question. Is the question about inerrancy, infallibility, and inspiration? Or maybe it’s about authorship? Might it be about how literally we look at the Word of God? The person asking this question might be hoping to learn that our church tosses out parts of the Bible. We don’t.
