Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (among many other passages) instruct us to teach our children to love God. We take that seriously at Redeeming Life and seek to help parents. Nursery (for infants through three-year-olds who are not potty trained) opens 5-minutes prior to the start of our worship service. All the other kids join us in worship and all of us listen to a children's sermon each week. Following the children's sermon, potty-trained toddlers through kids in the 5th grade are dismissed to participate in age-appropriate lessons and activities.
We love the Jesus Storybook Bible and encourage parents to read it to their children. The NIRV translation of the Bible is a good next step for kids who are ale to read at a 2nd grade or higher level. We also love families and believe the family unit is an important community with the community of God. Our families participate together in worship, Fellowship Groups, House of Prayer, and our outreach ministries.
Youth kids in 6th grade through high school meet for a Bible study at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. They also schedule various activities for fun, fellowship, and growth.
We are presently working on developing a college ministry for younger collage students and those transitioning from childhood to adulthood. Please keep this effort in your prayers.
