We value team ministry at Redeeming Life Church.  In the Bible they did things two-by-two or even more-by-two.  Paul brought different strengths and perspectives than Barnabas.  Barnabas brought what Paul didn't have. God brought the two together for his mission and did more with them together than they might have done separately.  Later God partnered Barnabas with Mark and Paul with Silas.  And remember when Jesus sent the disciples out two-by-two?  We believe the same is true of us.

We believe the Bible demonstrates that ministry should be done in team, and the church likewise should be lead by a plurality of leaders and Elders. We also hold that Elders are responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church while Deacons oversee the physical needs of the church.

Dave was born in Dallas, lived in Oakland, CA for five years and has been living in Salt Lake since he came to know Christ at eight years old.

David’s focus is to be a positive support for the Redeeming Life ministry staff and the larger church body. David is on loan to us from our sending church, Risen Life.  We’re thankful for the support of our sending church to pay Dave’s salary.

Before serving ministry staff, David was employed as a CFO and controller for various companies in the Salt Lake Valley since 1986.

We believe in a plurality of Elders. Pastor Bryan is our lead Elder and we have three borrowed Elders from our sending church, Risen Life. They are Kevin Lund, Robert Marshall, and Glen Apgar.  In addition, we also have a group of deacon who serve at Redeeming Life and lead through their service. And finally, we utilize a Church Leadership Team (CLT) made up of lay people from the body, affirmed by the members, to serve in an advisory role with the Elders.
