In the 56th chapter of Isaiah, God says, “for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:7). Jesus quotes this verse when he cleanses the temple (Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46). God’s dwelling place is to be a house of prayer and in the New Covenant, his dwelling place is within us, his people. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 2:19-20, 1 Peter 2:4-5).  Individually and corporately, we are the temple of God; therefore, we should be a House of Prayer.

Redeeming Life Church is a community church that prays.  We call our corporate prayer times House of Prayer to remind us of the significance God places on prayer.  We believe nothing of eternal significance happens without prayer, so we seek to be a House of Prayer for Salt Lake City.
